Reasons for Nomination:
We consider that Banco Galicia is one of the leading institutions in the field of Corporate Responsibility Programmes. Our nomination to the Financial Times Banking Awards recognizes the Bank’s leadership as one of the most prominent financial services provider in Latin America. We are proud of Banco Galicia for being the first bank in the southern cone region to adhere to the Equator Principles. Moreover, it remains as the only bank in Argentina that maintains those principles in compliance with best practices in social and environmental issues. How they also target the needs
of the under-financed sectors is another reason to be short-listed. Therefore, in view of Banco Galicia’s track record throughout over 100 years of existence, we submit this nomination on behalf of all the Argentine not-for-profit organisations dedicated to improve quality of life .
